What are the risks associated with the study?

This study poses minimal risk to participants, no more risk than that associated with daily life. Participants may skip any questions that they do not feel comfortable answering.

How long does it take?

Participating in the survey will take about 30-45 minutes. Participating in the interview could last up to 2 hours.

How will the data be used?

The data provided will be recorded and participation and anything said during the survey and interview will be held in the strictest confidence to the extent permitted by law. All digital files will be stored on a password protected computer. Participants’ real names and any identifying information will not be on any research records. Data will be used to write manuscripts and reports that will inform academic and policy debates about how to better understand the plight of Puerto Ricans post-disaster and interventions to alleviate any challenges identified by the research.
